Karaoke Social — Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 2026-07-14
These Child Safety Standards explain how Karaoke Social ("the App", "we", "our") prohibits, prevents, detects, and responds to child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). The App is operated by AjaVision LLC, a United States limited liability company (the "Company"). These standards apply to everyone who uses the App and to all content and conduct on it.
To report a child-safety concern, or to reach our child-safety point of contact, email safety@karaokesocial.app. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
1. Our zero-tolerance commitment
We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. The following are strictly prohibited on the App, without exception:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, or other depiction of the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a minor, including computer-generated, drawn, or AI-generated depictions.
- Sexualization of minors in any form, including sexualized text, comments, ratings, or commentary about a minor.
- Grooming — building a relationship or trust with a minor to enable sexual abuse or exploitation, whether online or offline.
- Sextortion — threatening to expose sexual content to coerce a minor (or anyone) into providing further content, money, or other benefits.
- Solicitation or enticement of a minor for sexual purposes, or attempts to arrange in-person sexual contact with a minor.
- Trafficking of minors, and advertising, facilitating, or soliciting commercial sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Sharing, requesting, or directing others to CSAM or to any of the above, on or off the App.
Violating these standards results in immediate removal of the content, permanent termination of the account, preservation of relevant records, and reporting to the appropriate authorities as described in Section 6.
2. Who can use the App
Karaoke Social is intended for users aged 16 and older. The App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 16 to create an account or use the App. Users who are 16 or 17 are minors under our standards, and the prohibitions above apply to any content or conduct that sexualizes or exploits them. If we learn that a user is under 16, or that an account belongs to a minor being harmed, we will remove or restrict the account and act under these standards.
3. How we prevent and detect abuse
We combine product design, user reporting, and human review to keep the App safe:
- In-app reporting on all user content — posts, comments, direct messages, venue-chat messages, and performance recordings each carry a report control, so any user can flag content that violates these standards.
- Blocking — any user can block another user, which stops that user from messaging them or seeing their activity.
- Human review — reported content is routed to our moderation queue for review by our team, which can remove content and terminate accounts.
- Automatic removal — content that accumulates reports past a set threshold is automatically withheld from the App pending review.
- Escalation — reports that indicate child sexual abuse or exploitation are treated as our highest-priority category and are escalated to our child-safety point of contact for urgent action.
4. How to report a child-safety concern
We provide an in-app mechanism for feedback and reporting, and a direct channel for child-safety concerns:
- Inside the App — open the "…" menu on any post, comment, message, venue-chat message, or performance recording and choose Report. Select the reason that best fits (for sexual content involving a minor, use the sexual-content or harassment category and add a note). You can also Block the user from the same menu.
- By email — for any concern involving a minor, or anything urgent, email our child-safety point of contact at safety@karaokesocial.app. Include links, usernames, and a description so we can act quickly.
You do not need an account to email us. We review every child-safety report and do not penalize good-faith reporters.
5. How we respond to reports
When we receive a report or otherwise become aware of potential CSAE, we:
- Review the report promptly, prioritizing anything that suggests a child is being harmed.
- Remove violating content from the App and disable access to it.
- Terminate the responsible account(s) and take steps to prevent the same user from returning.
- Preserve the content and associated account records as permitted by law to support reporting and any investigation.
6. Handling CSAM and legal compliance
We comply with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate, including United States federal law.
- Reporting to NCMEC — when we become aware of apparent child sexual abuse material on the App, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, as required of electronic service providers under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A. NCMEC coordinates with law enforcement in the United States and internationally.
- Removal and preservation — we remove apparent CSAM from the App and preserve the material and related records as required by law to support NCMEC and law-enforcement action.
- Cooperation with law enforcement — we respond to valid legal requests and cooperate with law-enforcement investigations into child sexual abuse and exploitation.
- Children's privacy — the App is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information, including how to request deletion of a child's information.
These standards operate alongside our other policies and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. We do not permit any use of the App that would violate that policy or applicable law.
7. Child-safety point of contact
Our designated point of contact for child-safety matters, including CSAE reports and questions about these standards, is:
8. Changes to these standards
We will update these standards from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, announced inside the App.
